We are currently supporting Solihull School with the integration of Mindfulness into their classrooms.

On the 1st September for the new academic year Dixon’s Academy in Bradford invited us to introduce Mindfulness and Mediation techniques to the new Year 7. Also we shared methods for overcoming exam stress and increasing focus with Year 11.
Stroud High School invited us to present essential Mindfulness and Meditation techniques to their staff and students.
On the first visit we presented to 30 students aged 11-17 introducing a variety of practical techniques over a one hour period.

I visited the school and spent an hour offering a variety of techniques to around 100 students and 5-6 members of staff.
Manchester Grammar School approached us, requesting an Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness to help Year 10 deal with the stress leading up to and during their AS Levels.
remember when I was revising in my bedroom for my GCSE’s I would always have music on. When I needed to really concentrate and think, I would simply turn it down so it was more gentle. There are different theories about whether music can help or hinder studies.
Once you have experienced the benefits of a Mindfulness and Meditation practice within your own life then it’s natural to wish to pass on these techniques to others, especially to the next generation.
One very effective exercise to introduce Mindfulness & Meditation to your class is the practice known as Mindful Listening.
Breathing meditation can really help children to relax, but how to practically introduce it ?
When we start to practice this meditation it can be a little difficult to locate and focus on the breath.
The presentation included an opportunity to practice, an introduction to how to integrate our resources and discussion on the most effective ways to introduce bring calm into the classroom.

We are running a Google Hangout on Friday 19th July at 6.30pm for one hour.

On Thursday 4th July between 6.45-7.45pm there will be a public Meditation in Schools Meet Up in St Andrews. This will be more of a networking session and sharing of our new resources than a live workshop. There will be no charge for the session. Everyone is welcome – it will be of particular interest to those who work with/in schools & education. Please express your interest here. Once we have a clear idea of numbers we will confirm the venue.
