New study showing how Mindfulness helps teachers

Mindfulness practice is a time honored tradition that has been used by millions of practitioners for thousands of years, in the last few decades there has bee a growing body of research revealing, scientifically the benefits of establishing a regular practice & its introduction within schools.

Over in the States at the University of Wisconsin several scientists have worked with a group of teachers and have discovered that those who engaged in a Mindfulness practice over a period of 2 months have a greater ability to deal with their stress levels and are able to prevent ‘burnout’.

The University researchers state:

Those who received the mindfulness training displayed reductions in psychological stress, improvements in classroom organization and increases in self-compassion.
